TRAVEL:
I am originally from the U.K but now live in Australia, that was quite a journey crossing 23,000 kms so many years ago. I have been back to the U.K a number of times over the years, its great to go back and see the family, although now some of the family has spread out over the world and are living in different countries.
Australia was my first big travel in the 80’s, although we did travel to Edmonton Canada in 82, it was absolutely spectacular, beautiful scenery especially the Rockies and Lake Louise, the snow was on the ground and on the mountains, but the temperature was quite hot, it was beautiful to say the least. We also drove to Calgary to the Stampede, that was quite a show, just don’t know how they stayed on those horses.
IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN THERE, HERE’S A LITTLE BIT OF INFORMATION ON IT.
CALGARY STAMPEDE.
The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo, exhibition, and festival held every July in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The ten-day event, which bills itself as “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”, attracts over one million visitors per year and features one of the world’s largest rodeos, a parade, midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuck wagon racing, and First Nations exhibitions. In 2008, the Calgary Stampede was inducted into the Pro -Rodeo Hall of Fame.

BANFF & LAKE LOUISE.
We went skiing at the Banff National Park, if you love skiing you would love it here..
Cross-country skiing is a great way to explore Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies during the winter months. A vast network of classic and skate skiing trails provides plenty of options for all fitness levels. Banff, Lake Louise, and Castle Junction trails are track-set and groomed regularly, giving you the choice of leisurely loops or more demanding routes. Pack a lunch, grab your gear, and choose your ideal trail.
This is a great place to go skiing, you just glide silently on freshly-made tracks alongside trees laden with snow and rounding a bend, the forest opens up to a breathtaking view of a frozen lake and snow covered peaks. Cross-country skiing offers a special combination of pure, serene wilderness, and energizing outdoor discovery. fantastic to complete your holiday….
